Sprouts are very healthy and loaded with vitamins, protein, antioxidants and minerals. Following recipe is especially for people, who are on diet to lose some weight, which does not have much time for cooking, who does not know cooking, who likes spicy and tangy food like me. Please follow the step by step recipe to make the tasty, easy, healthy Moong Dal and Black Channa sprouts salad at home: –

Ingredients
- 2 Cups Sprouted Moong Beans/Dal and Black Channa
- 1 medium sized Onion – Finely Chopped
- 1 medium sized Tomato – Finely Chopped
- 2 Green Chilli – Finely Chopped
- 1 small Cucumber – Finely Chopped
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 small boiled Potato – Chopped (optional)
- ¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder
- ½ tsp Chat Masala
- ¼ tsp Garam Masala
- Salt to taste
- Lemon Slice for Garnishing
Instructions
- First we need to make Moong Dal Sprouts and Black Channa sprouts
- Rinse the sprouts in water
- Now Steam or cook the sprouts in pressure cooker; until one whistle. Sprouts should be half cooked and should be crunchy
- Take the steamed or boiled sprouts in a big bowl
- Add chopped onion, tomato, green chilli, cucumber and boiled potato
- Now add red chilli powder, chat masala, garam masala, salt and mix it very well
- Now pour lemon juice and mix well
- Add sprouts salad in a serving bowl and garnish it with lemon slice
Tips
- Capsicum and bell pepper can also be added to make Moong beans and black channa salad more crunchy and colorful
- You can avoid boiling or steaming the sprouts and make the salad with raw sprouts
