We can easily make sprouts from Mung Dal (Green Gram or mung saboot) and Black Channa at home. Sprouting lentils at home at very hygienic, reasonable and you can always make fresh and eat fresh. Sprouts sold in the market have preservatives in it; so that they look fresh till they are sold. Sprouts are very beneficial and popular which help in lose weight.

Nutrients present in Moong dal or mung beans get enhanced when they are sprouted and are best for all age groups. Sprouting lentils has a lot of health benefit, for example: –

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Moong dal (mung beans) / Green Grams
  • ½ cup Black Channa
  • Water (Room temperature)


Instructions

How to make sprouts

  1. Wash the Moong Dal/Geen Gram and black channa together in water 2-3 times and soak in room temperature water for about 6 to 8 hours
  2. Drain all the water and transfer to a cotton or muslin cloth and make a tight knot
  3. Keep it in a container or big bowl and partially cover with a lid
  4. Leave it in a warm and dark place till they sprout.
